Looking to get the most out of your upcoming internship?

 

Hatch is seeking motivated Power Co-op Students with an interest in Energy and Power Systems for 4-month, 8-month or 12-month internships starting in September 2024. You will work on a variety of client-driven projects to support all sectors within Power (nuclear, thermal, and eGrid which encompasses renewables, hybrid power, transmission & distribution and grid modernization). This role is based in Mississauga, ON.

Responsibilities: 

  • Solve challenging problems pertaining to energy technologies and power generating systems
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
  • Actively participate in the creation of the technical reports and presentations to clients
  • Assist in the research and development of energy technologies

 

Education and Experience:

  • Preference for 3rd or 4th year Engineering student 
  • Strong academic record
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

 

Competencies (knowledge, skill, attributes): 

  • Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects  
  • Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges  
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving, and brings forward solutions for our clients' toughest challenges 
  • Highly motivated, with a positive attitude and an ability to understand innovation
