The Hatch Project Controls Group is a global practice providing project controls expertise to Hatch's commodity-based business units. Our capability spans through the whole project lifecycle, comprising scoping, conceptual design, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, basic and detailed engineering, construction and project management.

We are currently seeking applications from experienced Estimators to deliver planning and scheduling that promotes reliability, efficiency and optimum performance for our projects. This role will suit candidates with strong experience in engineering consulting and EPCM projects in the mining and resources or infrastructure sectors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivery of accurate and comprehensive estimates in accordance with estimating procedures, standards and practices.
  • Calculation of direct and indirect costs from a first principle basis or factored as applicable.
  • Monitoring and upgrading of the estimating database.
  • Senior estimators will be expected to mentor and guide junior estimators as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience within a large project, multidisciplinary EPCM environment
  • Excellent safety awareness
  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple disciplines and across the project lifecycle from conceptual/factored estimating through to detailed first principles
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience in completing independent / third party estimate reviews
  • Ability to effectively engage with key Client and Internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, team work and interpersonal skills
