The Hatch Brisbane office is currently seeking applications from experienced Project Managers to assist with an increasing workload that includes work on challenging and interesting Projects.


The successful candidate will manage projects associated with delivery of studies and projects for our tier 1 clients , opportunities exist for talented project managers in Mining / mineral processing, heavy industrial and brownfield upgrades of existing major facilities.  The Project Manager will ensure that all project services are completed in accordance with applicable codes and standards, including all corporate policies and procedures, such as Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control. 


Key responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership to the project and create a highly committed and aligned team environment with all who can influence project outcomes
  • Carry clear responsibility and accountability for delivery of project goals as set down by the client/project director
  • Develop and obtains sign-off from client on Project Execution Plan (PEP) and Client's Requirement Specification
  • Develop a detailed scope, cost and schedule control baseline, and manages any project changes in terms of this agreed control baseline
  • Ensure governance on the project, specifically compliance to Hatch and client delegations of authority, procedures and policies
  • Ensure  the required business and workplace integration activities occur. Specifically, that project documentation (contractual, engineering, maintenance and workplace change related) is managed


Qualifications and Experience:


  • Degree in engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Solid experience in cross functional leadership roles in onsite multi-disciplinary project environments
  • Advanced safety awareness
  • Ability to function well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated commercial and business development skills
  • Experience in engineering, procurement and construction, and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies
  • Strong customer/client focus
  • Well-developed written and oral communication/negotiation skills
