Our tight knit Brisbane Dynamic Earth Solutions team is currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join the group and assist with current and exciting future project requirements and opportunities.

In this role, you will be asked to prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, project management and reports for both front end planning studies and the detailed engineering phase for multi-disciplinary projects. You will be able to further your career both liaising with and learning from a diverse range of people.  

The Water Resource Engineer is responsible for assisting with and delivering projects covering:

  • Surface water management
  • Water Balance and Final Void Studies in mining related projects
  • Catchment hydrology
  • Hydraulic flood modelling
  • Hydraulic civil design

Some of the key responsibilities of your role will include:

  • Actively growing existing client relationships and building new ones
  • Liaison with clients to understand their needs and identify how we can assist
  • Preparing engineering calculations, technical specifications and reports
  • Report writing and proposal preparation
  • Preparing Material Take Offs/Bill of Quantities
  • Reviewing and checking engineering drawings
  • Providing input to engineering, operating and cost estimates
  • Participating in and contributing to design reviews

Candidates with the following qualifications and experience are encouraged to apply:

  • A degree in civil engineering from a recognised tertiary institution
  • Safety awareness and good attitude toward safety
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Collaborative and inclusive work style
  • Applicants with RPEQ and CPEng will be well regarded
  • Prior experience within the industrial and mining sectors
