  • Deliver conceptual engineering, preliminary engineering and detailed engineering for urban road and highway projects;
  • Co-ordinate with project managers and discipline engineers and ensures consistency in execution of project management activities to assure that client's work is completed on time, on budget and within the quality standards of the firm;
  • Coordinate roadway designs with other engineering disciplines including storm water management, utilities, structures, rail and transit.
  • Coordinate plans for the Client with other agencies and stakeholders;
  • Prepare and update technical reports and specifications;
  • Participate in the preparation of material quantities and cost estimates;
  • Undertake assistant project management duties for urban road and highway projects;
  • Ability to work as part of a growing team;
  • Provide assistance during the tender phase and recommending project awards;
  • Provide engineering support during construction.



  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or other transportation related field from an accredited University;
  • Registered professional engineer;
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in design and construction of urban roadway and highway infrastructure;
  • Technical experience in the planning and design of urban infrastructure including light rail transit considered an asset;
  • Working knowledge and experience of design and data management software including civil 3D, AutoCAD, and REVIT;
  • Experience in working complex modern urban style roadway, highway or rapid transit projects in North America;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills in complex and changing environments;
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good working relationships with clients and project teams.
