Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Turbine Specialist for hydroelectric projects for our growing Manchester, New Hampshire office.

As the successful candidate, you will:  

  • Responsible for the design and supervision of a team of intermediate and junior engineers, and to continue the development of the team;
  • Provide engineering services and advice on the design, manufacture and installation of turbine components for new power plant construction or repairs;
  • Verification of compliance with the contractual technical requirements of documentation produced by suppliers such as drawings, calculation notes, manufacturing procedures, purchase specifications, assembly procedures, etc;
  • Coordinating the mechanical interfaces of turbine components with civil, mechanical and electrical power plant structures;
  • Completion of engineering projects to modernize components, replace plumbing systems, engineering to repair major parts of components, analysis of power increase, etc.;
  • Identifying business opportunities in the field with a focus on the US.

 

You bring to the role:  

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • Professional Engineer Registration;
  • 15 years or more of experience in hydraulic turbine design/engineering and/or retrofit;
  • Industry-recognized experience in hydroelectric projects;
  • Excellent customer approach;
  • The ability to mentor engineers and technicians.
