Our Melbourne Infrastructure business is experiencing growth due to recently secured, high profile Projects and future workforce planning requirements. We are currently looking for an experienced Structural Draftsperson to join our well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering team.


The ideal candidate will have solid experience working on Projects in the Infrastructure sector. They will be given the opportunity to collaborate with other team members and work towards the successful production and delivery of structural drawings to our Clients, in accordance with the project schedule.


Some of the core responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Assisting the Senior Draftsperson with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, quantities, cost and schedule
  • Producing and maintaining technical and engineering drawings and developing design details
  • Ensuring that drawings have incorporated safety in design and are checked prior to their release


Skills, experience and attributes required for this role:

  • Structural Engineering diploma (N Dip) or equivalent (civil/structural)
  • Drafting experience within the Infrastructure sector for an engineering consultancy or government organization
  • Understanding of Australian standards; as well as statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Working knowledge of state road/rail authority design criteria for bridges in particular for Vicroads, VicTrack, TfNSW & RMS will be highly regarded
  • Highest personal safety standards
  • Experience working in Microstation
  • Excels in a team environment and has well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
