Our Melbourne Infrastructure business is experiencing further growth due to recently secured, high profile Projects and future workforce planning requirements. This position will suit a Structural Engineer who has demonstrated experience working in the Infrastructure sector and is looking to further their career. You will be provided with an opportunity to motivate and mentor team members and secure key roles on a variety of different Projects for well-known, reputable Clients.

 

Some of the key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Leading and managing the process of engineering commitments in accordance with scope, schedule, budget and procedures to ensure successful project completion
  • Performing design calculations and analyses using software programs and preparing reports /technical memos
  • Developing preliminary and detailed designs as well as overseeing and guiding the preparation of structural drawings for construction
  • Taking ownership of the technical deliverables Ensuring compliance with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures for all design activities

Ideally the successful candidate will possess the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree (registration as a Professional engineer is also desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience with Design delivery in the Infrastructure sector (e.g. bridges)
  • Understanding of Australian standards; as well as statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Highest personal safety standards
  • Experience working in a client facing capacity with integrity, honesty and customer service orientation
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • A desire to achieve results including the ability to manage multiple priorities and time lines
