Hatch Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Human Resources Coordinator to join our HR Shared Services team in Montreal! In this role, you will report to the HR Coordinator Team Lead in Mississauga and collaborate with the broader Human Resources group to ensure that every employee experience at Hatch is exceptional. The Human Resources Shared Services team is client-focused and works in partnership with employees, managers, and other HR functions to provide simple and efficient solutions driving operational excellence and business results. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a matrix environment and dealing with ambiguity. They will have outstanding attention to detail, strong administrative skills, data entry accuracy, MS Office including advanced Excel, and HRIS skills, with proven ability to handle confidential matters.  

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Onboarding of new hires, including conducting orientation and set-up of employees in HRIS
  • Process documents for new hires, employee changes, leaves, and terminations
  • Input and maintain confidential employee records in HRIS
  • Process required documents through payroll
  • Administer benefits plans including enrolments, changes, and terminations
  • Answer general employee queries
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports and documents to support monitoring of HR metrics
  • Maintain employee human resources files
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

 

Essential Qualifications:

 

  • Post-Secondary Education, preferably in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Bilingual French/English required
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written French and English
  • Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to maintaining staff privacy and confidentiality
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work
  • Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office skills, Excel advanced skills required
  • Previous HRIS experience and data analysis; SAP and Success Factors experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to deal with issues in a confidential manner
  • Ability to work independently and participate as an effective team member
  • Ability to prioritize effectively given multiple changing demands and deadlines
  • Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
