The Hatch office in Perth has an exciting opportunity for experienced Planners and Schedulers to join our Hatch Project Controls Group.


The Hatch Project Controls Group is a global practice providing project controls expertise to Hatch's commodity-based business units. Our capability spans the whole project lifecycle, comprising scoping, conceptual design, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, basic and detailed engineering, construction and project management.


This is a fantastic opportunity to be working as part of a dynamic and inclusive Integrated Team supporting a rail renewal program.


We are looking for competent individuals supporting a program of brownfields work on an initial 12 month assignment in Karratha or Tom Price with extensive travel to the various work sites during planning and execution of the works. FIFO is offered from Perth on a 5/2/4/3 roster with a 45 - 50 hour work week.


Some of the key responsibilities of these roles will include (but are not exhaustive):


  • Establish and maintain program and project schedules
  • Monitor the critical path and report any issues impacting the critical path
  • Work with project teams to ensure that schedule activities are accurately updated
  • Provide progress reports in accordance with the project reporting calendar, including resource histograms, progress curves and current versus baseline comparisons
  • Assist in identifying schedule slippage mitigation strategies


Qualifications, Skills and Experience we are looking for:


  • Demonstrated experience in project scheduling in the field of engineering and construction
  • Experience with Primavera P6
  • Experience in heavy haulage rail would be advantageous
  • Must have sound understanding of schedule & cost interfaces
  • Ability to create and develop baseline schedules
  • Must be able to monitor, report and analyze progress measurement and earned value
