Hatch is currently seeking graduating Designers for our Saskatoon office, starting May 2019. If you have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and understand innovation, we want to hear from you. The following descriptions outline work responsibilities for the respective disciplines.



  • Developing Single Line Diagrams and motor schematics
  • Developing and checking of 3D models in an integrated CAD environment
  • Preparing electrical deliverables including; general arrangement drawings, detail drawings, and design sketches in accordance with established quality procedures
  • Perform calculations for lighting design cable selection, etc
  • Developing material take offs from the layout drawings.



  • Preparation of structural steel and reinforced concrete 3D models of heavy industrial structures for mining and mineral processing facilities
  • Extraction and annotation of 2D drawings from the 3D models
  • Preparation of general arrangement plans and drawings
  • Preparation of architectural plans and drawings
  • Preparation of material quantity take-offs from 2D drawings, sketches or directly from a 3D model.



  • Consult with project team members to understand the design requirements and specifications
  • Develop 3D models of industrial environments
  • Operate in a collaborative multi-discipline design environment
  • Prepare and detail 2D drawings
  • Develop detailed machine and mechanical component designs



  • This is a suitable role for technologist/designer graduate
  • Interest in mining technologies
  • Strong academic record.
