The Role: In-Country Project Coordinator

 

Employment Type: Full Time or Part Time (4 hours a day)

The In-Country Project Co-ordinator will be based in Yangon, Myanmar, and is responsible for liaising between the client, the prime contractor and local stakeholders to coordinate conceptual planning  phase and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) project activities for a deep sea port project in Myanmar. The role, based out of our client’s office in Yangon, will include working closely with front-end technical disciplines (environmental, geotechnical, ports and marine) across cultures (Chinese, English, Myanmar) and will involve various tasks, including but not limited to:

 

  • Logistical ground support for smooth Project delivery
  • Communicate and collaborate across the project team
  • Prepare/translate written material
  • Coordination with stakeholders, government agencies and contractors Qualifications & Experience
  • Bilingual (oral; written) in English and Burmese
  • Project co-ordination experience
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Minimum undergraduate degree OR equivalent work experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Eligible and willingness to be based in Yangon, Myanmar (minimum 12 months)
