Summary:

The Hatch Sudbury Controls, Automation and Electrical group is seeking a Technologist with interest in Electrical and/or Automation. Reporting to the Controls, Automation and Electrical Lead, you will support projects globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Instrumentation and control system design, control strategy development, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning.
  • Communication system design including WLAN, LTE, fibre optic infrastructure and voice networks.
  • Electrical design including LV, MV and HV distribution, lighting and power studies.
  • Developing and checking of 3D models and 2D drawings in an integrated CAD (Miscrostation as well as AutoCad) environment
  • Field support, site assignments and commissionin

 

Education and Experience:

  • Recent Electrical Technologist graduate from a recognized college
  • Good knowledge of control systems and loops, basic circuit theory and communication networks.
  • Courses in electric circuits, control systems, networking and communications systems
  • Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and understand new technologies in a fast paced environment
  • Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Strong Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD 2002 or above (Microstation is an asset)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Scripting knowledge in Python will be an asset
