At Hatch, major projects succeed because strong leaders bring commercial discipline and technical credibility to every stage of delivery. We’re seeking a Procurement Manager to guide procurement activities on large, complex projects - supporting our teams, building client confidence, and ensuring seamless execution.
In this role, you will shape materials and contracts strategies, integrate them into Project Execution Plans, and manage the full procurement lifecycle from package definition to closeout. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, including contracting, purchasing, expediting, vendor quality, logistics, and site materials control - setting standards, developing capability, and fostering a high‑performance culture. You will also provide on‑site oversight when needed, resolving procurement or commercial issues and, on some projects, taking on a site‑based leadership position during construction. As a trusted client interface, you will represent the procurement function with professionalism and technical insight.
You will be successful in this role if you bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Business.
- Extensive experience in both domestic and international procurement and contract management.
- A minimum of 15 years’ EPCM project experience, ideally within major project environments.
- Strong contract knowledge, including drafting commercial terms and understanding legal implications.
- Deep experience across procurement processes for materials and contracts.
- Familiarity with quality systems and environmental, health and safety requirements.
- Experience with dispute resolution approaches.
- Experience administering construction/service contracts and major equipment purchase orders (highly regarded).
