Responsibilities of the Structural Engineer include:

Develop, with the assistance of others, the man-hour budgets required to perform all structural engineering work based on required deliverables and time based functions.

Prepare and/or review project standard specifications and design criteria

Assist in the preparation and development of project specific procedures.

Manage and review the development of the Engineering Work Packages associated with all deliverables and time based functions.

Assist the Engineering Manager/Lead Structural Engineer with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule

Work to ensure the implementation of safety and integrity principles in structural documentation

Promote compliance with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures for all design activities

Maintain structural engineering work procedures, specifications and computer aided design programs

Prepare engineering calculations

Prepare and contribute to technical memos and reports
Qualifications
-
BSc/BEng in Structural or Civil Engineering
-
Minimum 4-10 years of experience working in an EPC environment

Professional Engineer license. . Alternatively, registration as a candidate professional engineer actively working towards professional registration or regional equivalent

Good communication and interpersonal skills
-
Sound understanding of design engineering codes and technical standards

Experience with Staad Pro or similar structural analysis software
