We are seeking a Procurement Manager with experience in the mining sector, with a strong focus on Lean processes, strategic procurement, and contract management. We are looking for a hands-on professional capable of leading teams and executing operational activities, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and added value to projects.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in procurement and contracts for mining projects.
• Knowledge of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement.
• Fluent English (Spanish preferred).
• Proactive, collaborative, and results-oriented profile.
• Assist the project in the development of sourcing strategies, taking into consideration project location, size and technical characteristics, production costs, transportation lead times, quality and other risks specific to each sourcing country
• Develop effective sourcing risk mitigation strategies and control plan
• Ensure that the project capital procurement decisions can be made based on well planned procurement strategies
• Develop a recommended supplier list for the project and identify the supplier assessment requirements (supplier capability validation, quality system in place, facilities, etc.)
• Assist with drafting of purchasing and contracting strategies including possible price basis and supplier selection strategies to be included in the Project Execution Plan (PEP)
• Assist Purchasing Lead with the finalized bidders list by package according to sourcing optimization (on-going updates of supplier database and the global sourcing team)
• Assist Purchasing Lead with the prequalification process by raising supplier alerts, if Any
• Supervise the effective capture of supplier knowledge data with regards to prequalification, bidding performance evaluation, execution performance evaluation, and purchase order/contract characteristics (content, value, etc.)
