Looking to take the next step in your career? Our Brisbane-based team is seeking a Graduate Simulation Engineer to support projects across the Australia–Asia (AUA) region. This role is ideal for graduates with an analytical mindset who enjoy developing software, working with data, and solving complex operational problems. You’ll be part of a global team delivering practical, data-driven solutions that improve the performance of industrial systems through modelling, simulation, and optimisation. As a Graduate Simulation Engineer, you will support the analysis, design and improvement of complex industrial systems. Your work will focus on capacity analysis, debottlenecking, and optimisation of processes and operations using analytical techniques and discrete-event simulation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse operational and design data to support simulation studies
• Conduct site observations and surveys at industrial facilities
• Perform analytical calculations and scenario assessments
• Develop spreadsheet-based analytical models
• Build and test dynamic discrete-event simulation models
• Evaluate design and operating options to optimise production, cost, and capital outcomes
• Prepare technical reports outlining methods, findings, and recommendations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams across the global business

About You
You hold a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or Science and have a strong academic foundation in mathematics and statistics. You demonstrate a genuine interest in dynamic simulation and modelling, with exposure to discrete-event simulation tools such as AnyLogic, Arena, Simul8, or similar considered an advantage. Programming experience in at least one object-oriented language (such as VBA, Java, C++, or C#) will also be looked upon favourably.You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communicate clearly in both written and verbal settings, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You are organised, adaptable, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a willingness to travel, including time spent on remote sites and international assignments, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
