Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking an Intermediate Electrical & Instrumentation Designer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Brisbane.

As the successful candidate, you will work closely with our senior engineers and designers, progressively becoming a key technical resource across challenging projects in the metals, energy and infrastructure sectors.. This position will allow the candidate to directly apply and develop their knowledge in electrical design. The candidate will be exposed to and become competent in the use of modern design tools, including 3D solid modeling / BIM. As time progresses, project duties and responsibilities will increase including liaison with engineers and designers from other engineering disciplines.
 
Ideally, you bring to the role:

 

  • Advanced Diploma of Engineering or equivalent (E&I preferred)
  • Up to 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in the use of modern CAD systems
  • Experience working in multidiscipline project teams
  • Ability to take instruction and work unsupervised
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a Bentley 3D Design Environment (incl. BRCM) or the use of data centric design tools such as SPi, SPEL, ElecDes or COMOS would be well regarded.
