Our Brisbane Dynamic Earth Solutions team is currently seeking applications from Junior Water Resource Engineers to join the group and assist with current and exciting city changing projects and opportunities.

This is an exciting time of growth across our business and there will be an opportunity to further accelerate your career as you actively and successfully work with others to contribute to the growth of the practice and the wider Hatch communities of practice.

We are an entrepreneurial business in which opportunities abound, so we will ask you to travel domestically and internationally for business, as well as potentially undertake extended assignments away from time to time.

The Junior Water Resource Engineer will work in a group environment assisting the leads with and delivering projects covering:

  • surface water management;
  • water balance and final void studies in mining related projects;
  • consequence category assessments on proposed and existing dams;
  • catchment hydrology;
  • mine water management; and
  • the flood assessment for the newly won Cross Rover Rail (CRR) project.

Some of the key responsibilities of your role will include:

  • liaison with clients to understand their needs and identify how we can assist;
  • reporting on findings and assisting the lead in proposal preparation; and
  • providing input to engineering, operating and cost estimates.

Candidates with the following qualifications and experience are encouraged to apply:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Prior experience within the industrial and mining sectors
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Collaborative and inclusive work style.
