We are seeking an Operational Readiness Specialist to join our growing CORE (Operational Readiness & Commissioning) team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for early to mid‑career professionals to contribute to the successful delivery of major capital projects, supporting the transition from project delivery into safe and effective operations. Working alongside experienced leaders and multidisciplinary teams, you will support the planning and execution of operational readiness activities across the asset lifecycle. This role is well suited to candidates with experience in mining, minerals processing, or technical disciplines who are looking to broaden their exposure into project delivery, commissioning, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of operational readiness strategies, plans, and frameworks
- Contribute to readiness activities across workforce readiness, maintenance and asset management, training and competency, operational documentation, and spares and logistics
- Assist with readiness assessments, risk reviews, and stage‑gate processes
- Support alignment between engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams
- Participate in site‑based operational readiness and commissioning support activities, including FIFO as required
- Coordinate and track OR deliverables, risks, and interfaces across project phases
- Support handover readiness and operational integration outcomes
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned, and proposal support activities
About You
You will bring approximately four or more years’ experience, ideally including site‑based operational exposure within mining, energy, or heavy industrial environments. Your background may be in mining or minerals processing, mechanical or electrical engineering, maintenance, reliability, asset management, commissioning, or project delivery. Exposure to plant operations, shutdowns, or capital projects will be highly regarded. You have a demonstrated interest in operational readiness, commissioning, or asset lifecycle delivery and hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification. You are organised, proactive, and able to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams in fast‑paced environments. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, with familiarity in asset lifecycle practices and CMMS/EAM systems (such as SAP or Maximo) viewed favourably.
