Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Business Development Advisor, Bid/Tender Pursuit Specialist to join our Global Client Action Team for the Australia-Asia (AUA) region. Our global team of professionals is experienced in business development, marketing and pursuit management, engineering and project management. In this integral role, you will be an advisor to the senior leadership team for the AUA region, partnering with the business unit leads and senior directors to support their most important pursuits. You will draw from your track record of sales success and assist efforts to identify and acquire new work and drive repeat business. You will be supported by embedded Client Action Team best practices, tools and templates and resources. 

 

 As the successful candidate, you will:   

 

  • Act as an Advisor to the AUA Regional Leadership Team
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic plans, consistent with regional and global goals
  • Assist regional leadership in the prioritisation of their sales pipeline, including identification of key pursuits
  • Support strategic efforts, facilitate and lead Win Strategy discussions/workshops, and guide Executive-level strategy reviews on key pursuits
  • As a persuasive messaging architect, provide input and development of Executive Summaries, including guidance on identifying and addressing client hot buttons and win theme messaging
  • Guide and prepare teams for client meetings and presentations, including post proposal submission presentations
  • Monitor and analyse bid feedback and outcomes to support continuous improvement of quality, win rates and effectiveness
  • Utilise Hatch’s CRM system to support the management of key opportunities and the pipeline for the region

 

You bring to the role:   

 

  • Direct experience in Metals, Energy or Infrastructure sector/s (Engineering or Construction) will be highly regarded
  • Prior experience in Account Management, Business Development, Engineering or Project Management
  • Proven ability pursuing new business with $10 Million plus pursuits
  • Qualifications in Business, Marketing, Commercial or Engineering may be an advantage
  • Existing contacts within the Australia/Asia Metals, Energy or Infrastructure sector/s may be an advantage
  • A strong business acumen combined with high Emotional Intelligence and the proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence from the side
