Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking an Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Brisbane.

 

PDG helps clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. As the successful candidate, you will:

 

  • Prepare discipline design, studies, calculations and documentation to support feasibility studies.
  • Prepare detailed engineering for procurement and construction of execution phase projects.
  • Develop engineering documentation within the discipline including, but not limited to, design criteria, specifications, datasheets, reports, functional descriptions, lists, calculations and detail drawings.
  • Participate in formal multi-discipline engineering review processes and provide input into capital estimates and project schedules.
  • Provide on-site construction and commissioning technical support. 


You bring to the role:

 

  • A degree in engineering with demonstrated experience and CPEng status (or the experience necessary to attain this)
  • Excellent attitude towards safety 
  • Demonstrated engineering experience in the mining and metals, infrastructure or energy sectors (or similar heavy industries) including the detailed design for large multi-discipline projects delivered in a datacentric 3D/BIM environment
  • Current knowledge of industry or regulatory standards and study criteria pertinent to instrumentation and control systems engineering ensuring compliance of design work with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients on a technical and interpersonal level, including excellent report writing skills
  • Willingness to travel to client sites where necessary.
  • Experience in Functional Safety and/or ICT systems would be well regarded.
