We are seeking an accomplished Senior Structural Engineer to provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of mining and industrial projects. This role will lead the delivery of complex brownfield and greenfield projects while supporting project execution, client engagement, and the development of engineering capability within the team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for structural engineering activities across mining and heavy industrial projects.
  • Lead and review structural steel, reinforced concrete, and foundation designs for process plants, materials handling facilities, ports, bulk handling infrastructure, and sustaining capital projects.
  • Develop and review structural design criteria, specifications, calculations, reports, and construction support documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage structural engineering deliverables to achieve project scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical, process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and project delivery disciplines.
  • Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, risk reviews, and safety-in-design workshops while supporting procurement, construction, commissioning, and site activities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing trusted technical advice and contributing to successful project outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop engineers and designers while contributing to technical governance, continuous improvement initiatives, and the adoption of digital engineering and intelligent 3D design practices.

 

About You

You are a Chartered Structural Engineer with significant experience delivering mining, minerals processing, ports, infrastructure, and industrial projects within a consulting, EPCM, or owner’s team environment. You are recognised for your technical expertise and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and project outcomes. You bring experience in structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, and industrial structural systems, together with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery. You are passionate about mentoring others, driving engineering excellence, and delivering practical solutions that create long-term value for clients.
