Vacation Student opportunity: Build the extraordinary, every day
The Hatch Vacation Student Program provides the opportunity to work on real projects and gain practical industry skills. We will help you through the transition, bridging the gap between your education and career.
As part of our Technologies team, you will work closely with our senior engineers and designers, and act as a technical resource on challenging projects. You will be given the opportunity to directly apply and develop your knowledge in mechanical design, stress analysis and hydraulic system design, and gain exposure to modern design tools, including 3D solid modeling and complex calculation software.

You bring to the role:
You will have (or be working towards) a bachelor’s/masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, ideally in your third year (or later) of study, with a strong academic record. Candidates will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and will be collaborators with the ability to think laterally and innovatively to solve problems. You will also have an interest in exploring a future with a global consulting company and are committed to creating positive change.
The 12-week program commences on Monday, 17 Nov 2025. Please note, during this time Hatch will have its annual office closure from COB Friday, 19 December 2025 and will reopen Monday, 5 January 2026. The Vacation Program will conclude from COB Friday, February 20th, 2026.
