Dynamic Earth Solutions (DES) specializes in site planning, spatial information and digital terrain modeling, surface and subsurface investigations, rock mechanics, underground structures, geotechnical laboratory services, flood forecasting and water resource management through our geotechnical, hydrotechnical, and civil site development expertise.


Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Engineer to join our Dynamic Earth Solutions group, supporting the Hydrotechnical team in Brisbane.

As the successful candidate you will;


Undertake flood impact assessments, water balance related projects, catchment hydrology, stormwater design and assessment for infrastructure (rails and roads), waterway design and mine water management. You will also liaise with clients to understand their needs and identify how we can assist, write reports on findings and proposal preparation, along with providing input to engineering, operating and cost estimates


You will bring to the role;


You will hold a Civil Engineering qualification from a recognised tertiary institution, along with previous industry experience. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a collaborative and inclusive work style.

The following skills and qualifications will be well regarded:

  • Civil engineering related work experience such as road and pavement design, BoQ and MTO
  • Water Sensitive Urban Design experience, such as designing sediment basins and wetlands
  • Stormwater quality assessment experience
  • RPEQ and CPEng
