Engagement Manager (Hatch Associates Consultants, Inc., Chicago, IL):

Lead end-to-end engagements by delivering quantifiable impact (cost savings, improved KPI, etc.). Lead projects in the Mining and Metals, Energy and Infrastructure sectors. Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of projects while providing quality assurance to ensure work is delivered to the highest possible standard. Supervise, coach, and participate in the value creation process across the team. Structure problems and define the workstreams to deliver impact. Respond to client concerns efficiently, proactively coaching clients in problem structuring and solving. Develop a growing client network and build effective relationships with new clients. Proactively engage key client stakeholders to update/manage expectations. Take global best practices across technical areas within Hatch and customize for client context. Coach and actively mentor more junior staff on technical competencies. Seek opportunities to develop new solutions and services across Hatch Advisory’s service lines. Assist with the project risk evaluations and management processes, including start-up planning activities, holding workshops, assessments, and developing business philosophy and operational strategy.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field and 5 years progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in management consulting in the mining, metals, energy or infrastructure industry; OR a Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field, and 3 years of work experience in management consulting in the mining, metals, energy or infrastructure industry.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

• Strategy, Transaction Support, Business Readiness & Transformation, Capital Productivity, Supply Chain, Asset & Maintenance Management, Organization Effectiveness, and Risk

Management;

• Managing and executing large-scale projects which involve leading and directing teams that span in excess of 10 professionals;
• Preparing and presenting project plans to senior/executive members;
• Data analysis, including reviewing and synthesizing large amounts of financial, operational performance and personnel performance data;
• Utilizing collaboration software including Miro;
• Facilitating collaborative strategy, opportunity ideation/validation and performance review workshops with senior executive client stakeholders in mining and metals, energy and infrastructure sectors.

Travel: International travel up to 30%; Domestic travel up to 30%.
