Electrical Supervisor - Site Based (6 months)

Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Electrical Supervisor to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) group in Germany.

PDG helps clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure world-class project delivery through the skills of our people, methodologies, governance, and systems. Our engineering and project management and construction disciplines ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors. 

 

The Electrical Supervisor coordinates work efforts and ensure activities are sequenced in accordance with the project schedule and must be a competent person in the construction trade so that they may accurately evaluate the methods and performance in all respects of the scope elements of the project for which they are is accountable.

As the successful candidate you will:

 

  • Support the Construction manager in leading the Project Construction process across all technical aspects including the monitoring of site works, QA documentation, HSE, review and development of internal or external reports.
  • Responsible for managing a team of subcontractors and accountable for managing the interface and delivery requirements with other work areas, disciplines and project functions.
  • Coordinates change, risk and issues management for their area of responsibility, including initiating Project Change Notices, monitoring risks affecting the Project and corresponding risk controls, and preparing response plans to project deviations.
  • Contributes to site progress, performance and contractor reporting with respect to quantities, hours, and schedule.
  • Identify issues that may cause project delays and implement corrective measures (in consultation with the Project Manager)

 

You will bring to this role:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction
  • Minimum ten years onsite experience in a similar role in the construction industry, preferably on major projects
  • Collaborative style of leadership in health, safety, quality and environmental management with the ability to motivate and lead discipline-focused site teams to successfully execute the assigned scope of work
