Position Title: Application Administrator
Summary
The Application Administrator performs day-to-day system administration for Hatch’s enterprise document management systems and plays an important role in technical software support and associated implementations. You will be part of the global Administration support team taking on the responsibility to ensure the Document Management Systems operate in a manner that supports Hatch projects and corporate systems.
This role serves as a contact/liaison for functional users, project systems managers and IT technical staff for technical issues, and provides application-level expertise, augmenting the skills and the expertise available via the service desk.
The ideal candidate will be a solution driven, customer focused individual with a passion for content management and team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for primarily the DPD application part of the Application service in Azure hosted as an application in SharePoint as a mission critical environment.
- Understanding of the DPD integration
- Understanding of DPD Projects for troubleshooting of problems
- Understanding of Azure and implementation of applications in Azure App Services
- Understanding of SharePoint online
- Manage, support, and resolve complex software, vendor, and proprietary technical issues
- Monitor applications, document and analyze problems, and publish maintenance schedules
- Identify and resolve medium to highly complex production problems for support of applications
- Identify proactive solutions for recurring technology occurrences to benefit the business
- Maintain system documentation
- Provide support and training to end-users
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
- Maintain SLA, system availability, capacity management and performance KPI
- Collaborate and interact with various stakeholders including the ICT and Development teams
- Work closely with application development teams and vendors to tune and troubleshoot applications
- Plan and coordinate testing changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments
- Participate in efforts to develop and implement processes for application and system monitoring
- Participate in efforts to implement application updates to include upgrades, patches and new releases
- Develop work plans and track/report status of assigned projects/tasks
- Responsible for problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis
Qualifications
Skills
- Understand software requirements in Azure
- Understand the workflow and process requirements of complex application systems
- Knowledge of Windows / Microsoft Server Technologies including Azure, Hyper-V, SQL, Email, PowerShell, core LAN/WAN networking concepts, IIS, Javascript, HTML and JSON
- Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools
- Excellent verbal, written communication and ability to work well with others
- Demonstrated soft skills required such as presentation of ideas and ability to clearly articulate the concepts to senior management
- Ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels
Experience
- Willing to work in IT administration support
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of technology to include hardware and networking
