Client Billing Officer

 

Summary:
This position is fully responsible for the engagement billing process, including responding to client inquiries, and project financial health reviews.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Administration, management and control of billing over assigned business units.
  • Pro-actively assist in billing rates set up, ensuring accurate and efficient process.
  • Releasing of project and creation of contracts in accordance with business requirements.
  • Improve unbilled receivables by following up on unbilled balances promptly with engagement managers and commercial managers.
  • Support engagement managers and engagement teams to improve their billed and unbilled receivables by regular liaison, identification of contentious items and corrective action taken.
  • Provide accurate and relevant reconciliations of engagement costs and other relevant reports to our internal and external clients when necessary or when requested.
  • Monthly project profitability analysis and reporting.
  • Monthly assessment of revenue recognition on fixed price projects.
  • Monthly multiplier analysis on all engagement within the assigned business unit
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and accuracy.
  • Adhering to internal controls and ensuring that necessary approvals are obtained prior to implementation of requests.
  • Pro-actively supporting team members by providing a high level of service within a complex environment.
  • Recommend and communicate improvements in operational performance.
  • Establish and manage working relationships with clients, team members and managers to ensure delivery of high quality of service.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

  • Understanding the fundamentals of accounting
  • Strong organisational, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent MS Suite skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Solid attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines, work under pressure and deal with high volumes and confidential information

 

Desirable

  • A formal qualification  e.g., certificate, diploma, or degree at a recognised tertiary institution
  • 5+ year post grade work experience
  • SAP knowledge
  • Multinational group experience
