Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Sr. Electrical / Specialist Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Gurgaon/ Gurugram India.

 

As the successful candidate, you will:

 

  • Prepare, subject to the approval of the Lead Electrical Engineer, technical documentation required for the execution of the project, Basic and Detail Engineering Delivery including but not limited to design criteria, design calculations, system studies, technical / standard specifications, SLD’s, grounding/ lightning/lighting design, lists& schedules, data sheets, package engineering, vendor drawing review, as-built documentation etc.
  • Have strong experience in developing engineering deliverables wrt major global codes and standards leading team of Engineers, Designers SPEL database to produce Electrical Deliverables - Standard Schematics, Cable Schedules, SLDs – MCCs & DBs, Load Lists, Termination schedules, MTO etc.
  • Have strong experience in ETAP for carrying out systems studies. Experience in other analysis tools viz. SKM, PSSE/ PSCAD, MATLAB will be an added advantage.
  • Provide input to intra /inter discipline on timely basis to meet discipline / project objectives
  • Review vendor /shop drawings to ensure conformity with engineering designs.
  • Manage and coordinate with the Lead/Senior Electrical Engineers the progress of the engineering work in accordance with the project scope, schedule and procedures.
  • Assist the Lead Electrical Engineer with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule.
  • Assist the Lead Electrical Engineer to measure, on a monthly basis, the progress of the engineering work packages to ensure that project budgets and schedules are being met. Assist the Lead Electrical Engineer in implementing corrective action as required.
  • Assist the Lead/Senior Electrical Engineers in reviewing the outcome of quality audits of engineering work and perform remedial work in accordance with the project procedures and the quality assurance plan.
  • Assist the Lead/Senior Electrical Engineers in ensuring that the checking of documentation and interdisciplinary coordination is implemented in accordance with project procedures.

 

You bring to the role:

 

  • 12 to 18 yrs of strong Electrical Design and Engineering experience
  • Track record of independently handling all Electrical Engineering deliverables and able to lead a team Engineers and Designers
  • Strong capability in system studies, equipment sizing calcs, substation design, grounding, lightning, package engineering, SLD, lists, schedules, layout and physical design
  • Strong capability to guide Engineers, Designers to check and perform IDC
  • Good exposure to major codes, standards and global projects
  • Strong expertise in ETAP and other analysis software’s
