Smart Reference Data provides consistent and robust material code and specification structure across Hatch projects and is a cornerstone to future successful integration of all Hatch’s project coding structures.
Smart Reference Data interfaces with Hatch design tools and provides a foundation for Hatch use of Smart Materials to plan and control the definition, acquisition, and movement of material throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Description:
Duties and responsibilities:
- Sr. SRD Spec Engineer will be responsible for defining HATCH standard to build new Catalog Components, developing, Integrating and maintaining Corporate and project specific Specs in Centralized SRD database for other disciplines such as Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, Equipment, Hangers & Supports etc .
- Create Training Document for HATCH standard to build new Catalog Components.
- Provide Technical guidance to Specification Engineers and Projects.
- Analyze and Convert Project specific Components to HATCH standard components.
- Work with the project teams to identify and build additional components that may be required for the project(s).
- Maintain Dimensional Tables.
- Validate and transfer Commodity Code from Project to Product Group.
- Responsible for working with onshore teams and technical lead to understand business requirements. and design specifications and support accordingly in SRD.
- Co-ordination with other departments & lead office.
- Liaison with Client over deviations from Vendors and other interdepartmental technical issues.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively function in a team environment.
- Resolve queries in regards with SPRD, SP MAT & SPPID.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree and overall work experience of 10-15 years with +8 years of experience in SRD.
- Overall experience +10 years in 3D tools Open plant/S3D/PDMS/PDS etc.
- Must be fully conversant with the Industry codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, MSS SP etc.
- Must have experience in EPC/LSTK companies in Piping Material Engineering group.
- Must have proven ability as a subject matter expert as shown by the successful completion of projects both in terms of engineering and item integrity.
- Must have proven commercial awareness as demonstrated during the successful procurement of valves and piping equipment and the execution of contracts.
- Must be aware of work process flow starting from basic Engineering to commissioning support.
- Proficient with SPRD and SPRD+.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple requests.
- Good Communication & Interpersonal Skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- PL/SQL, Oracle & SQL Databases, software coding for relevant to SMat, SRD, S3D, OpenPlant applications and interfaces.
Good to have:
- Knowledge of any programming language C#, .NET, Python etc.
