This journey will lead to improve project outcomes, being able to leverage the digital twin, systems integration and interoperability, support for decision-making, autonomous execution, and integrated operations and performance centers. 

An important aspect of the Information and Communications Technology Technician’s role is monitoring Hatch’s systems performance and resolving service interruptions. This includes monitoring the equipment used to run Hatch’s networks, including servers, networking equipment and work with operating systems to configure the network software and hardware. Installation of technology components is also part of the job for the ICT Technician. This can include investigating developing technology recommendations as well as performing the 
implementations. Routine maintenance as well as specific service in the event of problems is also the responsibility of a technician. The Technician needs to be able to update systems and perform scheduled tasks while also handling ongoing issues. This can include remediation of problems that may arise. 

As the successful candidate, you will: 

  • Provide day-to-day operation support for a variety of ICT resources 
  • Assist in creating a structured approach for deploying new hardware and software, including procurement, testing and change management 
  • Ensure the provision of secure intranet/internet access and of all internal systems 
  • Monitor the fault reporting systems to ensure service delivery meets user demands, taking remedial action as appropriate 
  • Work within a scheduled maintenance environment 
  • Review and utilize existing practices and procedures. 
  • Provide feedback on operational improvements. 
  • Support stakeholders on ad hoc projects that require ICT resources for completion 
  • Review and keep up to date on ICT trends and developments and bring knowledge of these to the appropriate forum 
  • Support practices and procedures that ensure data protection and security practices are of the highest possible standard 
  • Work collaboratively with other teams in providing support, troubleshooting and maintenance of systems  


Advance knowledge of the following is required. 

  • Microsoft Windows Server technologies 
  • Hyper-V 
  • Azure Cloud Technologies 
  • Networking Switching and Routing 
  • TCP/IP troubleshooting techniques 
  • HPE Hardware 
  • PowerShell 
  • Practical working experience in one or more of the following is required. 
    • Riverbed WAN Acceleration 
    • VMware VeloCloud SDWAN 
    • Aruba Wireless 
  • Knowledgeable in technology such as shell scripting, batch files and scheduling tools 
  • Demonstrate an understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery, ensuring any developments are suitably architected to minimize data loss and down time 
  • Demonstrated abilities for working in a team environment 
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of technology to include hardware and networking 


  • 10+ years of IT experience and previous experience in global IT operations 
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior network administrator support role 
  • Bachelor’s degree/advanced diploma in computing or computer science discipline or equivalent combination of education, training or work experience
