As the successful candidate, you will:

• Assist the Engineering Manager/Lead Mechanical Engineer with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule.
• Perform engineering calculations for hydraulic systems, conveying systems and equipment sizing for mechanical equipment.
• Prepare technical specifications and design criteria based on statutory requirements, industry standards and client/project requirements.
• Perform package engineering for the complete package life cycle – preparing technical documents, technical bid evaluations and vendor data management.
• Provide input to 3D models and 2D mechanical drawings.
• Participate in and contribute to design reviews.

You will bring to the role: 

• BSc/BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience working on multidiscipline engineering projects.
• Good communication, interpersonal, planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to complete tasks independently and supervise junior team members as required.
• Working knowledge of industry standards, regulations and codes pertinent to the mechanical engineering discipline.
• Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team and coordinate mechanical activities between disciplines.
• Registration as a professional engineer preferred.
• Having a can-do attitude, flexible and willing to learn new things.
