Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a motivated Piping Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Jakarta, Indonesia.

PDG helps clients achieve their business goals through strong technical capability, project delivery expertise, and collaborative teamwork. Our engineering, project management and construction professionals work across metals, mining, infrastructure and energy projects, delivering practical and sustainable solutions around the world.

As a member of our piping engineering team, you will contribute to the delivery of projects by supporting the design, analysis and specification of piping systems. Working closely with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you will be involved in all phases of project delivery, from studies and detailed design through to execution.

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Scope piping and valving requirements across a range of projects.
• Prepare piping specifications, datasheets and technical documentation.
• Contribute to the development and review of P&IDs, piping layouts and isometric drawings.
• Perform calculations relating to pipe sizing, support design and pipe stress analysis.
• Support the development of 3D models and detailed engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to develop practical and integrated design
• solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input throughout project delivery.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and technical excellence.
• Work closely with lead engineers and project teams to deliver projects on schedule and
• within budget.

You bring to the role:

• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (preferred).
• Experience working on mining, metals, infrastructure, energy or industrial projects.
• Exposure to detailed engineering and EPCM project environments.
• Working knowledge of piping engineering standards, regulations and industry codes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Commitment to technical excellence and continuous professional development.
