Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed electrical and instrumentation 3D models and 2D drawings using Bentley MicroStation, tailored for mining and infrastructure projects.
• Interpret Client / project technical specifications and drawings, engineering sketches, and project documentation to produce accurate and practical designs.
• Participate in 3D model design reviews and provide technical input throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and project / client specifications.
• Maintain organized documentation and version control of all design outputs.
• Interface with Lead Discipline Engineers, Design Co-Ordinator’s and other Lead Discipline Designers
• Provide input into material take-off, capital estimates and project schedules.
• Provision of on-site construction and commissioning technical support.

Key Requirements:

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficient in Bentley software, especially MicroStation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in detailed engineering projects, preferably within the mining and oil and gas sector.
• Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation designs used in mining and infrastructures project.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to project sites and work in field conditions to support construction activities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in large-scale mining and infrastructure projects (surface or underground).
• Familiarity with other CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD) is a plus.
• Advanced Diploma of Engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of mining-specific standards and practices (e.g., AS, ISO, or client-specific standards).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to take instruction and work unsupervised
