We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Designer to join our Jakarta team, supporting the delivery of high‑quality structural design outcomes across a portfolio of Australian infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a technically strong designer who thrives on complex projects and is experienced working to Australian standards within a global delivery model. Working closely with our Australian project teams, you will contribute across the full project lifecycle, from concept through to detailed design and delivery. You will lead the development of coordinated, constructible, and compliant design documentation, with a strong focus on transport, civil structures, and energy infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with Australian codes and client expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of structural 3D models and detailed design documentation using MicroStation, OpenBuildings, and OpenBridge
  • Produce high-quality drawings including general arrangements, reinforcement detailing, steelwork drawings, and schedules
  • Develop and maintain templates aligned with project and company BIM standards
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including Australia-based engineers and project stakeholders, to deliver integrated design outcomes
  • Support engineers by interpreting calculations, mark‑ups, and design inputs into accurate documentation
  • Participate in model reviews, clash detection, and constructability assessments
  • Perform drawing checks to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and project specifications
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and drafters, supporting consistency and quality in delivery

 

About You

You hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil or Structural Drafting, or equivalent experience, with a strong background supporting Australian infrastructure projects. You have demonstrated experience working to Australian Standards and understand the expectations of Australian clients, documentation, and delivery frameworks. You bring proven experience working in 3D design environments within multidisciplinary teams, with advanced capability in Bentley tools (MicroStation, OpenBuildings, OpenBridge); experience with Revit Structure is advantageous. Exposure to working with offshore or global delivery teams is beneficial, and you are comfortable collaborating across geographies and time zones. You have a strong understanding of construction methodologies and coordination requirements, and consistently produce accurate, well‑coordinated documentation. With clear communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, you contribute positively to team outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.
