You will join a growing Dynamic Simulation practice in the Australia-Asia region performing simulation studies around the globe for mining, processing, infrastructure, energy and heavy industry projects. You will  become an integral part of a global team responsible for the design, improvement, and implementation of integrated technical, human, and financial solutions through the application of analytical skills, discrete event simulation, and other engineering skills. Hatch’s Simulation team works closely with our Digital team in developing Optimisation, Decision-Support and AI solutions for our clients.With over 60 years of experience in the infrastructure, mining, and energy industries, Hatch is committed to delivering innovative, efficient, and forward-thinking solutions. 

Core Functional Tasks & Key Responsibilities of this role include:

• Analyze operational and design data using MS Excel and Python
• Develop dynamic simulation models using AnyLogic and Java
• Set up and execute simulation runs, and analyze the results
• Compile reports on technical content and findings
• Presentation of analysis and findings to project teams, clients and other stakeholders
• Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Travel to remote location such as mine sites and ports to gather information, present findings and assist clients in implementing and using simulation solutions within their business

We are ideally looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications and skills;

• Bachelor (or higher) degree in engineering, mathematics or science
• Strong communication skills and comfortable in English language on day to day
• Have 2-5 years of experience in simulation.
• Have consulting experience.
• Proven skills with discrete event simulation software, with experience in AnyLogic being advantageous
• Strong programming skills – Python and Java preferable
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision
• Indonesian nationality - Mandatory
