As part of our Shared Services group, comprised of Finance, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Commercial, Legal and Facilities, we support the business achieve their goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure delivery of services through the skills of our people, methodologies, and systems.
 

As the successful candidate, you will:  

 

  • Prepare and administer multiple monthly payrolls across South Africa
  • Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner
  • Supporting client and payroll employees with queries, system changes, business processes, etc.
  • Run Payroll, postings, IRP5’s, reporting, payslips,
  • Process new hires, terminations, leaves of absences and manually update as well as import changes in VIP premier
  • Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Monitor the accurate processing of staff appointments, transfers, promotions and terminations
  • Analyze records to ensure our HR and Payroll systems match
  • Calculate Pension and Benefits payment schedules for legislated and unlegislated leaves  
  • Medical, pension and provident fund administration
  • Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Disease Act (COIDA) - managing and dealing with COIDA enquiries.
  • Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll
  • Process off-cycle payments as necessary
  • Assist with external auditor requirements (as and when required)
  • Other related duties and special projects, as assigned

  

You bring to the role: 

 

  • Related Degree/diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5-10 years working on VIP
  • Payroll end-to-end Officer/Administrator
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of relevant legal regulations
  • Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Knowledge of audits, South Africa payroll legislation including pension and benefits programs
  • A “work smart” team attitude
  • Ideas to assist with streamlining our processes
  • Adaptable to various tasks and able to handle multiple changing priorities
  • Ability to resolve issues in a positive manner
  • Proven understanding of confidentiality, discretion, and diplomacy
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Completed course/s in VIP advantageous
