The SAP Billing Support Analyst supports the SD (SAP Sales and Distribution) module of Hatch’s iPas TF SAP solution, which provides support for billing on all Hatch projects. They will play an important role in user support, master data management and in various tasks associated with SAP enhancements. They have the responsibility to assist users, trouble shoot and take on tasks in order to ensure the billing applications continue to operate in an efficient manner that supports Hatch projects and corporate requirements. They are responsible for problem ownership and resolution, combined with superior customer satisfaction and service level attainment, for any support requests for billing. 

 

The SAP Billing Support Analyst acts as the first level support for Hatch’s enterprise software systems covered by iPas TF, for billing, and has the responsibility of ensuring that these enterprise applications support Hatch employees on projects and in corporate roles.

 

The SAP Billing Support Analyst interacts directly with end users to help them troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with iPas TF. They assume full ownership of the support request, ensuring it is resolved in a timely manner, or escalated appropriately to the iPas TF functional team for review.

 

The SAP Billing Support Analyst serves as the main contact/liaison between the end user, other support analysts, functional support, and the iPas TF Billing Functional team, who provide second level support and implement enhancements and new solutions.

 

The SAP Billing Support Analyst will support users on every continent and must be flexible as to working hours. In general, working hours will overlap North American time zones.

 

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Manage, support, co-ordinate and resolve issues relating to SAP Applications – specifically related to iPas TF (SAP SD Billing)
  • Provide first level support by identifying and resolving system problems and training end users in the use of SAP for the billing business processes
  • Responsible for problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis
  • Work on and close out tickets in the Hatch Zendesk System, while adhering to SLA’s, standards, and processes for systems at Hatch
  • Identify proactive solutions for recurring issues
  • Work closely with SAP Functional Team to troubleshoot issues
  • Monitor integrations with external systems
  • Assist with system testing of enhancements and fixes
  • Assist with creation of user and support documentation
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned

You bring to this role:

Skills, Education and Experience

  • BA or BS degree in Business or Business and Computer Science / Information Systems or the equivalent Business and ERP Billing application experience in a professional services company
  • 3 years’ hands-on experience using or supporting an ERP Billing application in a professional services environment (ie not retail or manufacturing)
  • Experience with the SAP SD module in a professional services environment (ie not retail or manufacturing)
  • Understanding of concepts surrounding SAP SD / Billing account assignment and revenue recognition processes 
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus
  • Results-oriented, self-starter, capable of working independently and within a team environment to meet deadlines
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances or requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts

 

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to the following SAP areas: Resource Related Billing, Project Systems, CATS, Financials, Controlling and Results Analysis
  • General understanding of EPCM / Professional Services business processes
