Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Regional Lead | Health and Safety to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG). This role will be based in Katowice or Essen.
The Hatch PDG team helps clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure world-class project delivery through the skills of our people, methodologies, governance, and systems. Our engineering and project management and construction disciplines ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria:
- A proven track record in Health and Safety with contactable industry references
- At least 10+ years of experience in Health and Safety and Construction Projects, specifically in European countries in a leadership role in the following sectors – Mining & Metals, Energy and Infrastructure
- Citizen of a European Union Country OR have residency and a current work permit for either Poland or Germany.
- A recognized qualification in Health and Safety at degree or diploma level (minimum three-year program), or an equivalent qualification.
- Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required
- Full professional proficiency in German and / or Polish will be an advantage
- Full professional proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer applications
- Fitness to work - physically capable of safely performing work in a construction environment including, not limited to – walking 5km+ daily, climbing, entering confined spaces, wearing PPE including respiratory protection, working at heights
- Registration / Certification by a recognized professional health and safety industry body will be an advantage
- Ability to work under pressure in high demand environments
- Ability and willingness to travel locally and internationally
- Assertive communication skills
Fully versed and competent in:
- European regulatory requirements
- Health and Safety Risk Management.
- Incident Management (including investigation/root cause analysis processes).
- Management of Change – Health and Safety related.
- Developing, reviewing and implementation of Health and Safety Management Systems, such as ISO 45001.
- Health-related risks i.e. Occupational / Industrial Hygiene / Physiological & Psychosocial
- Statistical analysis and interpretation of Health and Safety performance data
