Hatch is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Regional Lead, Systems Integration & Assurance to establish and grow our Systems Integration and Assurance capability in Poland and neighboring European markets.
Reporting to the Global Director, Systems Integration & Assurance, this is a dual leadership role combining regional business growth with technical and project leadership. The successful candidate will initially support delivering major European metro programmes while developing a local team and expanding Hatch’s presence across the regional rail and infrastructure market.
We are looking for a recognised rail or infrastructure professional who can build trusted client relationships, identify new opportunities, develop a high-performing team and provide leadership on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
As the successful candidate, you will:
- Lead and grow Hatch’s Systems Integration and Assurance practice in Poland and neighboring markets.
- Develop client, contractor, supplier and industry relationships across the region.
- Identify opportunities and lead market engagement, capture planning and proposal development.
- Recruit, mentor and develop a high-performing local team.
- Position Poland as a delivery hub supporting European and global projects.
- Provide leadership on major rail and metro assignments.
- Guide multidisciplinary teams in managing technical integration, requirements, interfaces, assurance and project risks.
- Work closely with Hatch’s regional and global leaders to connect local capability with international opportunities.
- Represent Hatch at client meetings, industry events and strategic market engagements.
- Maintain a balanced focus on business growth, project delivery, technical quality, team utilisation and client satisfaction.
You will bring to the role:
- Minimume a bachelor’s degree in engineering or another relevant technical discipline. MSc is beneficial.
- Typically, at least 10 to 15 years of experience in rail, transportation or complex infrastructure programmes.
- Experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Systems Assurance or multidisciplinary technical leadership.
- Demonstrated leadership in project delivery, business development, client engagement or team development.
- A strong understanding of the Polish or wider European rail and infrastructure market.
- Knowledge of European Systems Engineering and rail assurance standards would be advantageous.
- Experience with metro, rail systems, automated transit, rolling stock, infrastructure or major multidisciplinary programmes.
- An established regional industry network would be highly advantageous.
- Strong commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial, growth-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Fluency in English. Polish language capability is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively across international and geographically distributed teams.
- Willingness to travel within Poland and across Europe when required.
