The Role:
Are you an experienced Engineering or Construction Management professional looking to make a real impact on major capital projects? We’re seeking a highly motivated Senior Estimator to join our team in Katowice, with 10+ years of hands‑on experience in capital cost estimating for medium- to large‑scale engineering and construction initiatives.
In this role, you’ll play a key part, either as a leader or as a core team member, in developing robust, detailed capital cost estimates that shape the success of projects from early concept through final execution. You’ll work within AACE guidelines and international best‑practice frameworks, delivering high‑quality estimates across FEL 1, 2, 3, and 4 stages.

Key Responsibilities
- Review estimating scope of work, deliverables, schedule of execution, estimate structure, formats, reports etc.
- Prepare estimate plan
- Prepare Basis of Estimate document
- Assist procurement in obtaining competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Analyze bids and proposals to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize project costs.
- Delivery of an accurate and comprehensive estimate in accordance with estimating procedures, standards and practices
- Input into project schedule in terms of project deliverables to estimating and the ultimate meeting on time of said deliverables
- Calculation of direct and indirect field costs form a first principal basis or factorization as applicable
- Calculation of cash expenditure, predicted escalation over project duration
- Attend/Lead Project Progress Meetings
- Lead estimate review meetings
- Monitoring and upgrading of estimating database
- Preparation and input Gate Release Meetings
- Proficiency in using estimating software (e.g., Cleopatra, Candy, HCSS, Other)
- Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Lestimating team and continuous support in updating estimating procedures and processes, in addition to mentoring and guiding other estimators.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- 10+ years of experience in estimating environment, ideally on medium/large multi-
- discipline projects in an E/EP/EPC/EPCM environment throughout various classes of estimate.
- Strong MS Office skills and experience with estimating tools and systems.
- Advanced English speaking/writing.
Preferred
- Mechanical/Civil/Industrial Engineer or Construction Management or relevant experience
- Site Experience
- Knowledge of different estimating systems and techniques
- Cross border / overseas estimating experience
- Commercial / contractual knowledge.
- Mining / Infrastructure industries knowledge.
