Our Environmental Services Group (ESG) provides our clients with expertise in climate change, environmental assessment & management, noise & vibration, social impact management, sustainable development design, and water resources. With your help, we can build extraordinary things that co-exist, and benefit local communities and habitats.
Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Environmental Specialist to join the Environmental and Sustainability team in London, UK.
Our Environmental & Sustainability (E&S) Group works throughout the world to provide our clients in the mining, metals, energy and infrastructure sectors with expertise in ESG, Environmental Impact Assessment & Mitigation, Due Diligence, Sustainable Development Design, Natural Resources Management, Climate Change and Social Impact(s).
As the successful candidate, you will:
- Contribute to high-quality technical services related to Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), environmental modelling and monitoring assignments, due diligence, reporting and benchmarking and corporate Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS).
- Contribute to Sustainability, ESG and Natural Capital programs.
- Contribute to the development and execution of environmental, sustainability and social impact monitoring programs.
- Collaborate with and support our senior consultants and engineers across the business.
- Collaborate with and support colleagues in the preparation of bids and technical proposals.
- Liaise with our engineering team and global E&S Group leads to identify possible environmental opportunities.
- Travel within the UK and internationally as necessary.
You bring to the role:
- A Bachelor or Masters’ degree in environmental sciences, environmental & sustainability management, environmental engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of work experience in the field of environment and sustainability.
- A well-informed understanding of global trends and perspectives on issues relating to business's economic, social, and environmental impacts.
- Graduate or entry-level membership of a professional body (IEMA, CIWEM, CIEEM or equivalent) will be an advantage.
- A good communicator that enjoys working as an integral part of a team.
