Our global technical services firm is seeking a Solutions Architect to provide technical direction for our program to advance digital project delivery. The ideal candidate will have solid industry knowledge and experience, and a documented history of assisting similar organizations to establish system architecture and solutions supporting Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digital transformation. You will be able to engage with internal and external stakeholders, technology vendors and development teams to assess requirements, make recommendations, gain consensus and communicate results. You will be motivated by the desire to deliver sound, effective and sustainable solutions that demonstrate improved business outcomes.


Employement Type: Contract

Duration: 6 Months with possible extensions.


•    In collaboration with Principal Solutions Architect, assess industry and technology solutions to establish optimum systems architecture supporting advancement of digital project objectives
•    Evaluate short-term or long-term priorities, and develop actionable plans to address
•    Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, solution vendors and end users to identify business requirements and translate these into technical specifications and systems architecture
•    Leverage external industry knowledge, standards and advances to further internal objectives
•    Present strategies and articulate recommendations to stakeholders
•    Prepare detailed plans, schedules and budgets for technology initiatives
•    Provide direction for internal and external development resources to deliver solutions
•    Identify and report initiative progress, challenges and risks
•    Assist with preparation and delivery of client presentations and proposals
•    Participate in project assignments for external clients, through consulting or direct secondment
•    Stay abreast of market directions and competitor capabilities


•    Relevant degree in engineering and computer science is desirable
•    10+ years of experience in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects
•    Proven experience in cloud hosting platforms such as MS Azure
•    Experience with solution design and architecture around MS Technologies including Data Analytics platforms / IoT, data lakes, data functions and data pipelines.
•    Recommend improvements to streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, usability and value
•    Read data from multiple data sources and transform, enrich and aggregate data for an efficient presentation in an enterprise environment.  
•    Extensive knowledge of integrated discipline work processes and supplier interfaces
•    Strong technical knowledge of industry data standards, platform and integration architecture, development technologies, engineering software applications and databases
•    Strong technical knowledge of asset data and document requirements at project and facility lifecycle stages
•    Proven experience in project management and technical lead roles of technology implementation initiatives
•    Solid knowledge of data analysis and research techniques
•    Familiarity with common business software and project management programs
•    Able to develop and present detailed, actionable proposals and plans within mandated deadlines
•    Strong communication, facilitation and organizational skills
•    Aptitude for analytical and creative thinking
•    Excellent listening skills and ability to interface with professionals in various disciplines
