Summary:

We are looking for adaptable, self-motivated students who are excellent working both individually, as well as in a team.  We need you to be able to build and maintain strong relationships with both your colleagues and external clients through excellent verbal and written communication.  A strong attention to detail is essential, as well as having a methodical approach to problem solving.  We will expect you to draw on your university and employment experiences to manage your time effectively and to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering task for infrastructure projects;
• Coordination with other technicians and related disciplines to produce design deliverables;
• Compilation of design drawings;
• Preparing design submissions and other technical documents;
• Assistance of Senior Engineers and Designers as and when needed.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering co-op program;
• In good academic standing;
• Interested in civil engineering as a career;
• Extracurricular involvement is considered an asset;
• Experience with municipal infrastructure, geotechnical field work, and construction is an asset;
• Experience in development of project layout and civil details.
