Our project controls team has upcoming opportunities for Project Controls Engineers. Join our Project Controls Team in Colombia and contribute to the successful delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

Our engineering and project management professionals manage our clients’ entire project lifecycle from studies to building assets, operating the assets, and developing efficiencies.

We are looking for proactive, curious, and committed professionals with proven experience in Project Controls. With their strong communications skills, Project Controls Engineers can adapt quickly to the different challenges that our projects will demand.

Key Responsibilities: 

As a Project Control Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of Project Controls services including control, reporting and forecasting of Hatch’s engineering and management work, interfacing with project managers, engineering teams, finance departments, and external stakeholders.

As a Project Controls Engineer, you should be able to perform the following:

Project Set Up

Cost and Resource Management

Schedule Management

Risk Management

Change Management

Reporting & Analysis

What you bring:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in project controls in industrial project environment with strong understanding of Engineering/ Professional Services Control
• Experience in dynamic projects environments.
• Experience in high valued, multi-discipline E / EP / CM / EPC and/or EPCM environment projects from inception to close out.

   

  Knowledge in the following disciplines:

• Engineering Cost Control – Ability to understand composite project budgets, forecast final costs and manage changes
• Engineering Progress Measurement – Knowledge on rules of credit principals and progress curves generation. Ability to verify weekly progress and constantly work on forecast reporting
• Earned Value Methodology – Ability to collect and validate data to generate EV KPIs (CPI, SPI, PF) to efficiently report internally and to clients to enable timely decision making.
