Our Civil Engineering team delivers a broad range of services across transport and infrastructure projects, including site selection and planning, earthworks design, drainage and flood modelling, and flood impact assessments. We work closely with our wider earth sciences and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes for our clients. To support continued growth, we are seeking a Civil Engineer with strong stormwater and drainage design experience, particularly on major urban transport infrastructure projects.
What you’ll do
- Undertake hydrologic and hydraulic assessments, drainage design, and stormwater quality analysis across road, rail, and bridge projects.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams to ensure client, authority, and regulatory requirements are met.
- Prepare high‑quality technical reports and supporting documentation.
- Work closely with civil designers and drafters to ensure designs and drawings meet required standards.
- Apply quality assurance processes and maintain a strong focus on safe, compliant project delivery.
What you bring
You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering and have approximately five to eight years’ experience delivering civil infrastructure projects, ideally within an engineering consulting environment. Your background will include drainage and/or floodplain engineering across road, rail and bridge projects, with exposure to both design and construction delivery. You will have a strong understanding of Australian statutory and regulatory requirements, along with demonstrated knowledge of road authority drainage standards, particularly TMR, TfNSW and VicRoads. Experience working in a client‑facing role is valued, supported by clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders. You will bring hands‑on experience using hydrology and hydraulic software such as 12d Drainage, DRAINS, MUSIC, HEC‑RAS and HY‑8, with additional experience in TUFLOW, XPSWMM, RORB and XPRAFTS considered advantageous.
