We are currently growing our Australian Infrastructure Group in Melbourne and Sydney, with exciting opportunities across the Infrastructure market. We have roles for a Principal/Senior/Intermediate Drainage Engineer. The roles will suit a Civil Engineer who specializes is stormwater drainage engineering design in major urban transport infrastructure projects. Experience with other utilities; particularly in dealing with utility authority regarding protection or diversion of utility assets would be invaluable.

You bring to the role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertaking hydrologic and hydraulic assessment and drainage design for a broad range of transport and mine projects and stormwater quality analysis.
- Working with a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of project which meet the client and relevant regulatory expectations and requirements.
- Producing hydrologic and hydraulic models and writing technical reports to high standard.
- Liaison with civil designers and drafters to ensure the design drawings meet the required standards.
- Committing to quality assurance and safe delivery of projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Civil and/or Environmental Engineering degree
- Demonstrated experience in civil infrastructure, road, rail and bridge is important.
- Exposure to Design and Construction delivery
- Extensive years drainage and/or floodplain engineering experience with engineering consulting environment.
- Understanding of the Australian statutory and regulatory requirements
- Experience working in a client facing capacity and strong communication skills.
- Applicants will have proficiency in various hydrology and hydraulic software packages including: 12d drainage, DRAINS, MUSIC, HEC-RAS, , HY8, AutoCAD.
- Experience with Tuflow, XPSWMM, RORB and XPRAFTS is beneficial.
- Experience in writing technical reports, study and memo.
It is expected all candidates who apply will possess a strong knowledge of road authority drainage standards in particular for TMR, TfNSW & Vicroads and be familiar with relevant Australian Standards.
