Hatch is seeking an EI&C Integrations Lead to join our growing Energy practice in Australia. The broader Energy team brings together experts in a variety of disciplines ranging from renewables, eGrid, nuclear, oil & gas and other related areas to inspire positive change in cities and communities around the world.

 

The Energy team at Hatch is a long-established group and has grown organically at a successful rate globally for the past few decades. The next phase of growth will be further expansion as we establish a broader presence across Australia and the surrounding regions This exciting role will play a key role in our regional Energy business and join a strong global leadership team that is one of the main pillars of Hatch’s service offerings.

 

Reporting to the Regional Director of eGRID, this role will be based out of Melbourne and be responsible for contributing to the growth of the group in coordination with colleagues around the broader global Hatch platform. The EI&C Integration Lead will provide leadership in maintaining and further developing our presence in this space while contributing to business development, team leadership and development, thought leadership and research, client engagement, technical oversight of deliverables and project financial performance.

Responsibilities: 

  • Delivery of the electrical, instrumentation and control design scope
  • Incorporating primary & secondary systems coordination, station SCADA, station electrical services, information, communications and telecommunications (ICT)
  • Cooordination of building services contractor electrical and security / access control scope
  • Manage and mentor 2-3 direct reports
  • HV Substation/HVDC converter station design experience important

 

Qualifications: 

  • Design/Engineering manager skillset, substation/converter design experience preferred
  • Strong coordination skills
  • High Voltage Substation / Transmission experience across AC and DC systems
  • Australian (Victorian / Tasmanian) transmission market experience highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills in complex and changing environments
