Looking to get the most out of your upcoming internship?

Hatch is currently seeking a dynamic Electrical Engineering Student to join our Water team in Oakville, Ontario who will apply knowledge of engineering principles and practices to the organization's products and services. The student will plan, schedule and conduct technical engineering assignments requiring judgment, independent evaluation, selection and significant adaptation and deviation from standard techniques and procedures.

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Assist engineers and technologists with project execution during all project phases.

• Assist with the preparation of electrical bid and construction drawings and documents for various projects.
• Apply fundamentals and engineering tools to design normal and emergency power distribution, communication, life safety, lighting, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Accompany staff during visits to construction sites and report on observations.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, architects, and subconsultants on multidisciplinary projects.

You bring to the role:

• 3rd Year Engineering Student, Electrical Discipline
• Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills
• Authorization to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship from Hatch is required
• Knowledge of Excel, AutoCAD, MS Office
